For whatever it's worth:
Mary Powell Bunker, Long Island Genealogies, (Joel Munsell's Sons,
Publishers. Albany, NY, 1895.)
Pg 143
SOLOMON2 SEAMAN (Capt. John1) m. Elisabeth, dau. of Henry Linnington
and Catherine. They had two sons who went to Maryland besides:
Solomon3 m. 1705, Mary Mott.
Henry3
Deborah3 m. 1702, Joseph, son of Hope Willets.
Mary.3
Abigail.3
______________
Pg 340
There is a list of marriages in this book at this page, before and
after. I've back-pedaled in the book and ** think ** it is: "In 1650,
the Society of Friends began to keep Records of births, marriages and
deaths, of members of the Society in England.", but it seems to be
interspersed with commentary, so not sure if this is the record as it
stands, or if commentary is added:
Joseph Willets, son of Hope, m. 1702, Deborah Seaman, dau. of Solomon.
__________
(Note that Arthur S. Wardwell, in his treatment of the Willis Family
in Genealogies of Long Island Families, compiled by Hoff, 1987, pg
695, shows the Mercy Langdon below as daughter of Thomas-1 Langdon,
not Joseph.]
Pg 86:
HOPE2 WILLETS (Richard1) m. Mercy Langdon, dau. of Joseph. They had
children:
Joseph3 b. 1677, m. 1702, Deborah Seaman, dau.
of Solomon.
Mary3 b. 1679, m. 8, 9, 1702, Richard Ridgeway at
Jerusalem, he was of West Jersey.
Elisabeth3 b. 1681, m. 1701, Jervis Ffaro.
Richard3 b. 1683, m. 15, 7, 1704, Elisabeth Ridgeway
at Springfield Meeting.
Esther3 b. 1686.
Timothy3 b. 1687.
Hope3 b. 1689.
Phebe3 b. 1690.
James.
Three b. |Hannah3
3, 8, 1696|Patience3
Abigail3m. 1716, Thomas Cranmer.
Hope2 Willets had grist-mill at Jerusalem, lived and died
there. Widow Mercy was selling
land there in 1706.
