Thanks for posting that site of signatures! I have several of those people
in my ancestry. I've been watching this Pierson debate with interest. I
have it that Shamgar Hand(1640-1728) m. a Sarah Peirson, who could be a
dau. of Henry Peirson. (who I previously thought m. Mary Cooper, but I
know better now). There are many Pierson signatures as well as many
others in Mather's "Refugees from LI....". All those L.I. ancestors are
quite a puzzle as they intermarried so much. I'll keep watching for more
discussion.
