Hi Ned,
Do you have access to the Sanford book? I have a Jemima Sanford (b.1738) who
is shown by some to be the wife of William Halsey, Sr. (1Thomas, Sr.,
2Thomas, Jr., 3Nathaniel, 4Recompense). Some family researchers include her
in their work as his wife, but I have yet to see published verification. My
reason for doubting this information is that many years ago I saw a Jemima
Sanford given as the wife of William's son, John.
