Southampton Cemetery is PROBABLY the burial place of Thomas Halsey but there=

isn't any tombstone for him or any of his family. People didn't start using=20
tombstones until into the 1700s. Before that they pounded a couple of posts=20
into the ground and a board across that with the person's name on it. They=20
eventually rotted from being in the ground and fell over. Very few survive.
