I have a bible which states that John Trenchard married first the daughter of Martha Conkling on 8 Nov 1744. The records of First Church, Huntington indicate that John Trenchard married Diane Soper wid. on same date. A Diane Sopher m George Tapping 9 Jan 1743. Diane died 22 Dec 1747. John Trenchard wid. married Elizabeth Ruland August 10, 1748, same church. I am trying to connect the Soper and Conkling names. Have hit a wall, any ideas on where to look?
