TO COLONIZE JEWS ON LONG ISLAND FARMS
KING'S PARK, Jan. 25 -
The Jeffrey SMITH farm of 286 acres and the Theodore
W. SMITH farm of 210 acres between King's Park and Comac has been sold to the
Jewish Agricultural Society of New York City, which has the support of the
Baron DE HIRSCH fund with a view to colonizing Jews. Only married men are to
be received. The idea is to draw the Jews from the crowded sections of the
East Side in Manhattan and Brownsville, Brooklyn.
