Subject: [NYSUFFOL] Looking for an Obit in EastNorthport in March 1977

Hi, would someone have access to an obituary for East Northport, for March 1977? I am assuming it would be listed in the Newsday, but not sure.

I am desperatly searching for my great aunt Ann Nurock, who on the SSDI shows that her last benifit was paid to East Northport zip 11731 and she died in March of 1977. I do know she originally lived in the Bronx, and am assuming she moved to East Northport to live with one of her daughters. I have been told I can not obtain her death certificate because I am not a direct decendant of hers.

I am sitting here at this major brick wall, knowing that her death certificate may be within my grasp and I cannot get it. I am hoping to find out where she was buried in her obit, and maybe the married names of her daughters? I am also hoping the cemetery may lead me to information on one of her daughters through a contact at the cemetery. I just do not know which other way to go.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
