On 10/14/01 (1:27:27 PM EDT), as part of a lengthy eMail quoting from the
1835 JOURNAL OF SARAH ANN B. JACKSON as posted by Barbara Gallas
(), included the following item was included:

" ... Traveling to cedar swamp ... "

Cedar Swamp was the name given to the northwestern area of the Town of Oyster
Bay in Queens County (now Nassau County), and today would be the area
centered on the Village of Old Brookville.

NYS Route 107 -- runs from the Jericho Turnpike in the Hamlet of Jericho to
the City of Glen Cove -- is known as Cedar Swamp Road.
