Dear Jim...
The area described SOUNDS as if it would be what is now Aquabogue area. I
have never heard of the Conklin Mansion, but
it sounds as if it's worth looking into! I live on the South Fork of the
Island. (I have Conklins in my ancestry...but haven't delved into them yet...)
