Hi Walter:
I believe I have had some success tracking the Kerwin property, circa 1930's. It has turned out to be the Conklin Mansion at Arshamomoque. Originally, a horse (Trotter) breeding/training farm located overlooking the Sound on the old King's Hwy. on the east side of Mill Creek. It later became a golf course, the era the Kerwin's owned it, then albor camp and then ultimately destroyed by a hurricane. This latter point I am trying to confirm with Antonia Booth and the Greenport Historians, the Monsell Bros.
A photo of the Mansion is printed on page 228 of the book: Greenport: Yesterday and Today.
Do you have any knowledge of this property? Best regards, Jim Kerwin Poling
