Norris,
I apologize, I just posted a message asking for the Jesse REEVE - James REEVE lineage and realized afterward that you had already posted that information.
I DO have another question for you.
Do you know anything about Henry REEVE 1835-1870 (son of Jesse/Polly REEVE)?
I have an 1870 Census Record (revcd from Ned Smith) for the household of Edward Y. REEVE and Charlotte CORWIN. It shows Polly and Henry living with them and their three children (Arthur, Fanny and Emma). Henry was listed as age 35. He must have died that same year, and I noticed he was never married.
I initially began my search, trying to find a "mystery" g-grandmother. She turned out to be Ruth Bennett REEVE - and ever since, I have uncovered LOADS of family history I never could have imagined. Her roots, quite obviously date back to the very first settlers of America, 1600's. I found that quite interesting, being that most of my other relatives were immigrants between 1800 and 1900.
My primary search continues to be Ruth REEVE: seeking pictures, life experience, education, etc. Though I have a burial record, I still do not have a death record showing cause of death. I am assuming she was a victim of the influenza epidemic. She had a son in Montana in 1919 who was severely handicapped (perhaps due to a high fever she had while pregnant), then had a daughter (my grandmother) in 1920 in Riverhead, NY. The burial for Ruth in RIverhead, states she died in 1922.
At this point, the more I uncover about her relatives, the closer I come to finding the answers to my questions about her.
Thanks again for sending me your information.
