I am researching my family who came from Long Island. When I saw your combination of Foster and Wines ancestors, I wondered if you have some people I am looking for. My grandfather was Charles Arnold Wines born July 30, 1869 in Greenport, LI. His father was Charles Allen - born in Moriches, LI. Charles Arnold was married to Effie Jane Ryder who was born May 9, 1868 in Bridghampton, LI. Effie had a son by a previous marriage (or relationship). His name was James Ryder Foster. He was born around 1885 to 1892. Do any of these names or locations fit with any of your research?
