The "Information Card" file, part of the card catalog of the special Long Island Collection, Queens Borough Public Library in Jamaica, Queens Co., NY identifies the obsolete name of Sunk Meadow as Middleville, Town of Smithtown in Suffolk Co. (just east of the Huntington-Smithtown town line)
The Map of Suffolk Co., L.I., New York by J. Chace, Jr., published 1858 by John Douglass of Philadelphia shows Sunk Meadow as a sizeable district south & slightly SE of the Middleville settlement, being about one mile S of current Sunken Meadow Road, E of Meadow Glen Rd. and generally W of Fort Salonga Rd. It looks like at least the southwesterly part of today's Sunken Meadow State Park to the west of Ft. Salonga Road covers the old Sunk Meadow, and probably some of the parkland east of Ft. Salonga Rd. also covers Sunk Meadow.
Walter was correct re the Kings Park hamlet. Its postal ZIP and not the ZIP for Middleville covers most of Sunken Meadow State Park.
