Dear John: Back in the late 1960s I was the Rector of Saint James Episcopal Church St James NY and knew many of the Smithtown Smiths personally. What I am hoping to find is some one who is already familiar with the various Smith families of Suffolk to see if we can locate the Silas Smith who left Suffolk and landed in New Brunswick sometime around 1780 - 1820.
