Thanks for your reply, but I don't think I'm any closer to knowing
what to do, than I was, before. The decedent died in 1998 in Deer Park,
Suffolk County, NY. I guess that means my best bet is to send a request to
Albany with a $10 M.O., and hope that will produce a death certificate.
