Hi David,
I don't have a copy of that index, nor did I know it existed, so I am
looking image by image at ancestry.com. :-(
The Town of Islip had quite a few ED's that year, so I thought I could
narrow it down. Where is it that I can find the info you are speaking of?
I found a family coming through Ellis Island in 1899 (mother and
children) and they had an address in Sayville as their destination and
that address being her in-laws. Was hoping to locate them there, so if
anyone has the index can you please check for a Nellie DeDrew, possibly
her husband Peter (Pietje) and about 5 children.
