One of the names I am researching is Acker. I have a Magdalena Acker who married Frank Hempstead. They lived in Greenport. Frank's parents were Henry & Esther Hempstead. I know they had a son Woolsey. They are buried in Sterling Cemetery in Greenport. I don't know if there is a connection to your Hempstead families, but thought I would pass this information along.
