Searching for data regarding the descendants of Thomas HYLDRETH/Hildreth who died in Southampton shortly before Oct. 6, 1657. No dates were on his tombstone which is now illegible, his wife, the former Hannah Horton of Southold, married twice after his death. Any family Bible records may have gone to someone in the Bower family.

We have located the grave of Thomas, would like to find the graves of his sons: Joseph, James Sr., and Jonathan. We can find the graves of the sons of Joseph and a woman we believe to be his wife. Jonathan was in the census records and also on the 1683 rate list before he disappeared.
Many of the early graves in Bridgehampton and Sagg have been bulldozed before legislation was passed to forbid this and there are no records today which we can find.

The Hildreth Family Association would be very grateful for any information any one can provide.

Jane Hildreth Kelley
