SARAH J. LITTLE DIES AT SOUTHOLD
Sarah Jane LITTLE, widow of William Mayo LITTLE and daughter of the late
Sarah RUSHMORE and John FRENCH, well known Brooklynites, died yesterday at
the home of her daughter, Mrs. Helen BYRON at Southold.
Mrs. LITTLE was born in Brooklyn and lived here until several years ago, when
she made her home with her daughter in Southold. Her father served for many
years as Commissioner of city Work of the old City of Brooklyn. She was the
mother of the late Dr. George F. LITTLE, child specialist of Brooklyn.
She was for many years a member of the Hanson Place M. E. Church, of which
her father was one of the founders and later Central M. E. Church.
Mrs. LITTLE was a member of the board of managers of the Methodist Home, a
member of the Central Missionary. Society and the Florence Nightingale
Society.
The funeral services will be held at 1 P. M. tomorrow. The Rev. Dr. J. Lane
MILLER will conduct the funeral services. Interment will follow at Greenwood
Cemetery.
