Seeking info on Charles HOLE b c 1700 NY? d 1749 NJ. Found this info:

'Abstracts of Unrecorded Wills, Vol XI, Prior to 1790', pages 39-40: 'In
the name of God, Amen. February 8, 1727/8. I, HANNAH KNOWLING, of Shelter
Island, ...... I make Charles Hole, of Southold, and my daughter, Mary
Merrow, executors.'

'Family History: Genealogies of Long Island Families, 1600s-1800s' (FTM CD
#173, Genealogical Publishing Co. 1997: These names appear in the index:
HOEL, Abigil [sic], Bethier [sic], Daniel, Halack [sic], Paul'.

Does anyone know of Hole families in Suffolk Co., LI early 1700's?? Charles
marr. Sarah SMITH, dau. of Henry Smith/Sarah ? I can find no Henry in all
the LI Smith's who fits the profile.

Would there be land records in Southold for early 1700's??

Any help appreciated.
