I have come to suspect that the first few pages (299-301) seem to have many names that are tied to Sag Harbor later. The last few pages (225-228) are most clearly Bridgehampton. It sounds like mayby they started on the north-east, and circled around counterclockwise to end in the south east. That seems to be the same path followed in the 1850.
