On 1/30/05 (4:15:27 PM MST), in a posting to the Suffolk County Ancestry Board that was 'gatewayed' to , nancy abel () asked,

"I wish to know about the 2 indian reservations on Long IS or Lynn MA. someone mentioned in passing and I am looking for relatives of Farrington who are Indians."


There are 2 Indian reservations on Long Island and both are in Suffolk County:

<> The Poospatuck Indian reservation is in the southeast part of Suffolk County, adjacent to the Hamlet of Mastic Beach in the Town of Brookhaven (but is not part of the Town of Brookhaven).
