Boston College has announced it's putting online the "Missing Friends"
column through which Irish immigrants in Boston tried to find relatives and
friends they'd lost track of.

This is potentially an incredibly useful resource for those of us searching
for *our* relatives. It previously was available only as an eight-volume
collection of books.
