Dear Rosemary--
I hope this will bring you a Merry Christmas!

I have a little info for you from the Yaple Family in America, published
in 1990 by Doris Yaple Geist and her father, Roland W. Yaple, Sr. On
Page 395 she lists the following dates/info which I'm noting in BOLD
and adding in to your original e-mail. Please don't be offended by the
items I've marked with a line through. I'm not trying to imply that
your info is incorrect--just different or spelled differently from what
is in this book. By the same token, some of the info you have isn't
listed in my source so I have not marked that one way or the other. I
do hope this is helpful. If you would like the original info (I could
copy the pages for you), just let me know off list--I would be happy to
do that.

Best wishes to everyone for the Holidays.
Gail Yeaple

... Since I just found out that my HUNT family also has a DUMOND
and
DELAMATER ancestry in Delaware and Ulster counties, I would like to
have the name of MARY DELAMATER's parents based on the following line:

Walran [Wallerand] DUMONT (1635-1713) m. 13 Jan 1664 Margriet

the 2nd Esopus Indian War.

(Grietje), was from Wie near Swol (the present Wyhe, a few miles south
of Zwolle in the province of Everyssel, Holland"

** Elsewhere in this book, it lists Igenas Dumond's wife as Ariaantje
Winne, so don't know which wife was first. And on still another page
(page 502), says: "The Pioneers of New Kingston " The following six
families moved to what is now New Kingston, Delaware County, NY, then
simply the valley of the Plattekill, when it was a wilderness:
"Johannes ("Honchy") Delameter and wife Betsy ("Natchie") in 1793
"Christian Yaple and wife Anna ("Onichy") Dumond in 1794
"Jacob Van Benschoten (son of Johannes Van Benschoten and Sara Rapelje)
and wife Catherine Dumond (b 17 Aug. bp 26 Aug 1764. m 1 May 1785).
"Philip Yaple and wife Nelly Dumond in 1795.
"Harmonus Dumond, Jr. (brother of Catherine, Anna, and Nelly) and wife
Mary Dumond (b 19 Oct 1778. m 13 Jun 1799).
"Igenas Dumond (bp 23 Sep 1753. m 22 July 1777) and wife Arriaantje
("Taunchie") Winne, parents of Mary Dumond. (This Arraantje or Harriet
always spoke Dutch. She never learned English)."
