Does anyone have any experience with these, who could offer advice on
make/model and where to purhcase?

I saw someone using one of these units last summer in a research
library. It was not a pen unit. This unit was about 5" square and
about 2" deep. The person was scanning documents of all sizes very
quickly. I was impressed and only asked what the cost of the unit
was....it was $350. Now I'd like to buy one but don't know what to
ask for.
