The Bloomer name caught my eye. In the Underhill family A William Underhill
(b. 1773) married a Martha (Last name unknown). One of their children was
named Daniel Bloomer Underhill. One would think the middle name of Bloomer
came from somewhere in the immediate family i.e. mother or other paternal
relation.
I haven't researched this line, but I an curious how common is the Bloomer
name in the area and is there a Martha Bloomer b. 1783 in anyones records?
It is also possible the Bloomer name came from an earlier generation in the
Underhill family. William's parents were John Underhill b. 1738 who married
Mary (no last name - Bloomer?).
Any Bloomer researchers from the Catskill region of NY?
Gary

John Andrews (b. abt 1760-1770) supposedly married Sarah Bloomer (b. abt
1763-1770). They may have lived in Ulster County prior to 1820. Does anyone
have any information about them and their origins? I have found no
connection between these families. Sarah Bloomer was said to be a daughter
of John Bloomer and a sister of Daniel, but I have seen no proof of that.
Thank you,
Katherine Seiders
