P. 224: William Hardin, of Eastchester for goodwill and affection
I bear unto my loving friend Moses Hoit, Jr., of the same place,
allestate real and personal lying and being in the Town of
Eastchester, June 6, 1702. Two days later Moses Hoit transferred
this deed to John Tompkins "in consideration of John Tompkins
conditions" in "an obligation bond bearing same date." Liber C.,

P. 245: Moses Hoit, Senr., of Eastchester, to son Moses Hoit,
Junr., of the same place, for love and goodwill, one half of home
lot in Eastchester [etc.] bounded on the west by the homelot of
Henry Fowler, Senr.; "also my negro called Ben; .... reserving to
myself the use of said land and negro during my natural life; also
reserving to my wife the house and a quarter of an acre of a
garden spot, during her widowhood in case she outlive me."

P. 246: Moses Hoit, Senr., of Eastchester for love and goodwill,
to daughter Mary, now the wife of Edmund Ward, one half of homelot
[reserving as before], November 16, 1702. [Ibid]
P. 254: Moses Hoit. Senr., of Eastchester and (Elizabeth his wife)
deeded to son Moses, Jr., other lands, which they had reserved to
themselves, December 3, 1701. [Ibid]
P. 274:Moses Hoit, Junr., and wife Elizabeth, deeded back to
father Moses Hoit, Senr., the half of homelot given, etc.,
December 4, 1701. [Ibid]
P. 284:Moses Holt, Sr., of Eastchester, for love and affection,
unto beloved son-in-law Henry Fowler, half of homelot with a stone
house and barn thereon and one and three fourths acres adjoining
at the rear of said homelot; also two acres of meadow bounded by
said Henry Fowler's land; "to enjoy after the decease of me the
said Moses Hoit, Senr. ;" March 22, 1703. [Ibid]
P. 80: Will of John Hoit of Rye, dec'd, probated at the Nov.
Sess., 1684. To wife Mary Hoyt, one third part of all movables,
house and orchard (etc.) during life, to return to two youngest
sons, John Hoyt and Simon Hoit; wife, if still a widow, to sell
some of the lands for her comfort. To John Hoit and Simon Hoit,
all lands in Rye, their mother's right excepted; to two daughters,
Mary Browne and Rachel Horton, two thirds of movables. Wife, sole
Executrix; and Joshua Hoit and Samuel Hoit and John Brondig,
Overseers. Wit. by Walter Hoyte (ae. abt. 60 yrs.) and Thomas
Betts, Senr. (ae. abt. 68 yrs.), who appeared before Nathan Gold,
Assistant in His Majesty's Colony of Conn., and certified to the
above on Nov. 7, 1684. Bond of Administration signed by Mary Hoyt
and witnessed by Moses Hoyett, May 6, 1685. [Liber A, Westchester

P. 342: Joseph Rodman of New Rochelle, Gent., and Alida his wife,
to Leonard Lispenard of N. Y. C., Esq. ; land in New Rochelle,
devised to the sd. Joseph Rodman by his late grandfather. Joseph
Rodman, dec'd. Apr. 30, 1773. [Liber B., Westchester Co.,

P. 334: Anthony Lispenard of New Rochelle, Gent., and Eliza his
