I don't think it's so much a question of being sexist. Some people feel the
surname
is all that matters. However, those people are often missing out on some
important
information. Sometimes, while researching the daughters' lines I have come
across
court records, land records, BIBLES, etc. that pertain to the surname.

A person does have to put some sort of limit to their research, otherwise
they would
not get out of the 20th century!!! Especially if there are large families
involved. My
suggestion: Include families of your brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and
grand-
children. Why? Because they are the ones who will possibly want a copy of
your
research. Beyond that, it's up to you.
