Hi All,

I've been sitting back trying to figure out exactly what to say.

Generally I have tried to leave the list run itself. Trying not to be a
dictator or force my views. There's been a few times where I
almost stepped in, as the subject died out, and was glad that I
hadn't posted as it may have fueled the fires again. In most cases
things have worked out and not caused too many problems. The
users of this list are great and show great decorum, especially in
comparison to other lists.

I just want everyone to know that I am indeed here despite my lack
of posting - that the list isn't abandoned. That I am following things
closely and when needbe emailing people directly in order to try
and calm things down, or correct wrong postings etc. I don't
always catch everything though, or think that what I think is okay is
the right choice.

What I would like though please is that if someone does have a
problem with a post or a question about making a post <like
viruses> that instead of posting it to the list that they email me off-
list so that the problem can be resolved behind the scenes and
keep the list free of such stuff.

As for off-topic posts, they are bound to happen from time to time.
Generally I'd like to keep the posts to about NewBrunswick specific
genealogy. I certainly don't want any Virus posts, or jokes of the
day posts or stuff like that, but some other things done very
occassionally isn't perhaps so bad as to cause a ruckus <an off
topic post, an unsubscribe, etc>.

Feel free to contact me about any questions, be it appropriate
posts, concerns about posts made, or comments about the list
<what's on it, what's not> etc - anytime and as often as necessary.
I don't mind.
