Hi folks,

I just found out about this list, although I've been signed up on the
NSRoots list for ages. My parents are both from New Brunswick and they moved
to BC just after they were married (about 1957). I've been doing my mother's
line (WILCOX) for years, and just barely scratched the surface of my
father's line (HARRIS).

I'm actually coming to visit at the end of August and am planning to spend
lots of time in the Provincial Archives looking around for more details (YAY!).

I've found the WILCOX line has lots of people working on it, and I find
something new on the net to research further almost every time I look, but
the HARRIS line is a whole other story. I have a few bits and pieces
remembered by my elder Aunts, and I have been able to verify some of their
names and dates (certainly enough to consider them to be Good Sources), but
because HARRIS is such a common name, I've come to rely on researching
maiden names marrying into the HARRIS line as a help. I was pleased to
discover the NB Gov online archives and find two birthdates, a correct first
name and a marriage on the weekend and was thrilled. But they only cover
1801-1899, any hints where I might look for more recent genealogical records
online (or offline, for that matter)?

Anyone else out there researching HARRIS around Millville, Upper Caverhill area?
