Hello Listers

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice about sites for *online*
information on Northern Ireland records, please?

A friend in Australia has encouraged me to use the Ancestry.com website
to find information on Northern Irish ancestors. I know that there are
at least 2 sites: ancestry.com and ancestry.co.uk but from a preliminary
look, there do not appear to be many Birth, Marriage, Death records from
about 1800- on these sites.

Am I missing a site from the Ancestry stable which covers Irish records
(eg Ancestry.ie or suchlike)? .. or any other similar site?

I know that the LDS has online indexes to the official Irish Register
General's B-M-D records for about 1845-1922, although I don't think they
are complete. A little while ago, there was a suggestion the the GRO in
Dublin was planning to put their records online. Does anyone know if
this has happened yet.

Any tips would be most welcome.
