Rose Mary (Suchecki) Burness, 79, of Parmelee Hill Rd., Durham,CT wife of the late Richard P. Burness, died Sunday, (June 29, 2008) at Hartford Hospital. She was born in New Haven, the daughter of the late John and Rose (Lis) Suchecki. Rose Mary was a parishioner of Notre Dame Church in Durham. She leaves four well-loved children, Richard Burness and his wife Louise Golden of Seymour, Deborah Paganetti and her husband Stephen of Durham, Paula Wraight and her husband Mike of Durham, and Mary Ekstrom of Cromwell; six sisters, Florence Paul, Josephine Kosack, Stella Belcher, Elizabeth Dwyer, Jeanne Danielson, and Leonore Lane; a brother, John Suchecki; seven grandchildren, Maggie Clair Burness-Golden, Stephen Edward Paganetti, Jr., Jason Richard Paganetti, Ashley Rose Ekstrom, Ryan Jeffrey Ekstrom, Mark Joseph Parisi, Jr., and Valerie Ann Parisi; and a great grandson, Tanyon Richard Paganetti. She was predeceased by four sisters, Dorothy Smith, Henrietta Tracz, Stacia Wolcheski!
, and Helen Adams. A Funeral Liturgy will be held Thursday, at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Church, Main St., Durham. Burial will be in Mica Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, Thursday from 9:30- 10:30 a.m., prior to the Funeral Liturgy. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the American Diabetes Assoc., 306 Industrial Park Rd., Middletown, CT 06457.
