Jim Charles

Jim Charles Bradshaw, 74, of Midland, went to be with his Lord on Friday, October 24, 2008, in Midland after a lengthy illness.

Jim was born August 23, 1934, in Port O'Conner, Texas, to Myrtle and Claude Bradshaw. He grew up in Freer, Texas, with his two brothers, Claude and Gerald. After graduating from Freer High School, Jim attended Business College in San Antonio TEXAS. Upon graduation, Jim returned to Freer where he was employed with Seaboard Oil Company. When Texaco acquired Seaboard, Jim advanced to the Production Foreman for the Midland District until retirement in 1990. Jim volunteered his time for many years at the Petroleum Museum as a Docent.

He married Lamoyane Harrell on October 26, 1974. Together, Jim and Lamoyane made many memories with dear friends traveling to fish, camp in their RV and work with Church Builders constructing new churches in many different states. Jim spent many hours flying in his plane and enjoying the company of friends through his membership with the Lions Club. He was a Master Mason and served as a 32nd degree Shriner. Jim looked forward to his trips to Colorado in the summer where he and Lamoyane hosted many guests during their stay in the mountains. He could be found fly fishing in the streams through Colorado on any given sunny day. Jim was a member of the First Baptist Church of Midland and served his Lord as a Sunday School teacher, a Deacon and volunteering with the Royal Ambassadors.

Jim had a smile that was contagious and a heart that was large enough to love and minister to all those that were blessed to be in his company.
