MARION - Richard L. St. John, 74, of Marion, formerly of Wareham,MA passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Tobey Hospital. He was the loving husband of nineteen years to Ann M. (Moulton) St. John of Marion.

With respect and in accordance to Richard's wishes funeral services will be private.

Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society 101A First Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.

Marion-Richard L. St. John of Marion formerly of Wareham passed away Tuesday April 7, at Tobey Hospital unexpectedly. He was the loving husband of nineteen years to Ann M. (Moulton) St. John of Marion. A life long resident of Wareham Richard and Ann moved to Marion six years ago. Richard enlisted in the Navy at age 17 serving his country for 16 years attaining the rank of Engineer Man First Class and serving during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. A former employee of Burr Brothers Boats in Marion, Richard received the Evinrude Master Technician Award. Member of American Legion Post 40 of Plymouth, MA and life member of the Brotherhood of Red Men and the Wanquinquoah Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed his winters in Florida but most of all being at the Marion water front especially the Old Landing with his constant companion his dog Daisy. In addition to his wife he is survived by: His son Gary St. John of Berea, KY His daughter Linda Stoneking of Vallejo, CA Two step sons Robert Hast!
ings Jr. of Marblehead and Roger Hastings of Salem One step daughter Susanne Snell of Plymouth, NH Grandfather of: Matthew, Katie, Anthony & Melanie St. John, Lisa Ramirez and Annette Bingham, Rachel, Sarah, Mason & Haley Hastings and Austin & Victoria Snell 5 Great Grandchildren and many loving relatives and friends He was predeceased by his first wife Lucille St. John and his brother the late Raymond St. John With respect and in accordance to Richards wishes funeral services will be private.
