Michigan Division of Vital Records and Health Statistics provides Internet
access to information from archived death records thru GENDIS. System
currently allows to search using decedent's name, father's last name, and year
of death. Currently the database includes over 80,000 Michigan death records
from 1867 - 1874 and a portion of 1875. (From Eastside Genealogical Society,

I just went in there. The number of OCONNORs in there aren't so many that you
can't just search by that last name only, and all the listings will show up on
the screen.
