Hi! to list members. This is my first posting. I have been reading and
hopefully learning for some time.
These are my O'Connor ancestors.
New Zealand family rumour suggests that they came from Dingle, but a
photographic caption of William J states he was born in Tralee. William J
O'Connor was a vice president of the Union Stock Yard and Transit Company
of Chicago.
I have made contact with Bill Jr and Bill III in IL USA but we have not
been able to pinpoint the Irish birthplace. Any guidance on a line to
follow would be appreciated.
The family information that I have comes from a letter written by William
J. in Chicago, to his eldest brother Patrick, in Timaru, NZ on June 13th
1928. This letter lists the USA families' marriages and children.
