The 1851 census shows John & Catherine with the following children living with them. The ages are their ages at their next birthdays. John-11 Ireland, Bridgette-13 Ireland, Ann-11 Canada, Margaret-7 Canada, Elizabeth-5 Canada. John & Catherine are both listed as 50 years old on their next birthday.

1. I found John and Catherine on a "heads of household" census from 1844 in Kingston.
They were living on Arthur St.. John gives his occupation as stone mason. The children were not named but were counted. There was 1 boy under 15, 2 boys over 15, 3 girls under 7, 2 girls under 15, 1 girl over 15 for a total of 9 family members. They all were Irish.
This information came from "Census of the Catholic Population of the Mission of Kingston Canada, taken in the months of May and June of the year 1844 by His Lordship the right Rev'd. Bishop Phelan and the Rev'd Patrick Dollard".

2.Mathew Donoghue, wife and children were on the same census. They were living at Kingston Mills and had 4 children, 3 boys over 15 and 1 girl over 15.

3.From The County Marriage Register of Frontenac County and Kingston City, 1858-1869
O'Gara, John, 24, Pittsburg T! ownship, Co. May o Ireland, son of John and Catherine, married 16 June 1862 Sarah Donoghue, 20, Kingston, Frontenac, daughter of Matthew and Jane.

4. From the baptismal register of St. Mary's Cathedral (Roman Catholic)
O'Gara, Bernard, bapt. May 22, born April 10, 1863, John O'Gara and Sarah Donoghue of Pittsburgh.
Witness - Catherine Donoghue

O'Gar, Catherine Anne, bapt.January 22, born October 10, 1864, John O'Gar and Sarah Donoghue
Witnesses - David Barret and Catherine Barret
____________________________________________________________I have the information from the 1871 census. The census reel no. is correct - C-9999,
The O'Garra family lived in Pittsburgh Township in Frontenac County in Ontario. I made a microfilm print copy of the entry if you or your relative would like to have it.
The family was in Sub-District E, Division 3, page 66.

O'Garra, John M 28 Ireland R. Catholic Irish &nb sp;Farmer Married
, Sarah F 27 Ontario R. Catholic Irish Married
, Bernard M 7 Ontario " "

, Patrick M 4 " " "
, Elizabeth F 2 " " "
, Mathew M 1 " " & nbsp; "
, John M 70 Ireland " " Married

I hope this information is satisfactory. It seems that John O'Garra's parents were living with the family. Notice O'Garra has (2) RR's in this census.
