In answer to a private request for the URL of the Miami Valley
Genealogy Index, it is:

This search leads to columns of info about people listed on censuses,
etc. in counties throughout Miami Valley, and is very helpful.

The Miami Valley Gen Index is listed on the Butler County
OHGenWeb page with other useful searches. The Butler Co
OHGenWeb site URL is:

There you will find several ways to search for Butler County family
histories and queries. The SURNAME HELPER search lets you check
a search or an index of all the *surnames* currently coded into that
search. We are working on this one, first to cover families listed in the
1882 book, later to cover all the family names posted to the web page.

The FREE FIND search on the Butler Co OHGenWeb site lets you
search various Butler Co OH genealogy pages with one or more words.
Whereas SURNAME HELPER only lets you request one word and
goes directly to that word on any page it is on, FREE FIND lets you
enter more words, like a complete name. But it only locates the page
and you still need to do a browser search for the names you want.
It is limited, but it is updated once a week (Wednesdays, I think).
