Just updating / refreshing my previous query and assuring a link to my current email address,
John Herbert Hoffmann's place of birth has been listed as Rockland Co., NY, but handwritten records and Census records show NJ. I believe there is a town called Rockland in NJ, so I'm still seeking confirmation of his POB.
Adda Ogilbee's family is quite large and goes back at least to the late 1700's in Belmont Co. They possibly came there from western PA (James Ogilbee).
