The Toledo Blade, 28 April 1969
Mrs. Maude Wening, 91, of 1448 Sylvania Ave., died Sunday in the Cherry Hill
Nursing Home.

Born in Clyde, Mrs. Wening lived most of her life in Toledo.

Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Madeline Betson, and Miss Beatrice Wening;
sons, Robert and Paul, and Tyler, all of Toledo; eight grandchildren, and eight
great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m., in the Herman Birkenkamp Mortuary, with
burial in Toledo Memorial Park.

Additional Comments:
Maude Sherman was born to Charles Sherman and Elizabeth Smith on 6 January 1878.
She married Carl Christopher Wening and had seven children: Harold, Gordon,
Madeline, Beatrice, Tyler, Paul, and Robert.
