Dear Ceal, Thanks for the 1870 lookup. Nicholas BURTSCHER , mentioned in
this census, confirms that he is the namesake of my grandfather, probably a
brother or cousin of Philip BURTSCHER, my gr grandfather. Was there no
family listed for either man? I ask since I am not familiar with the
contents of that year's census.
If possible, I request now, a lookup on Nicholas BURTSCHER and Philip
Burtscher in the 1860 Census. Thanks for the information. Tom Burtscher.
