Hi Marilyn,
Not sure if my grandfather was the first born or not but did find out something interesting. I was told the family had changed the last name when they came over from Germany but thought it was done when his father was young. Well, I just did another search for marriage license and found out his father still had the German name. So if you could do me a favor and look up the German name, I would appreciate it. It is Weingartner. Thank you so much.
Debbie
Hi Debbie,
Just a thought here. Was your grandfather the first born?
Maybe his parents were newly married with a new baby and living with one of
their parents until they could establish a home of their own?
Marilyn
