Image 5 - I also looked at that census - they definitely wrote
"71" and no way does the 7 look like a "4" . Evidently the
enumerator was tired?

Subject: [OHCEN] 1860/Stark Co/BOUR, Nicholas

Just talked to my aunt in Ohio today and she had records that
indicated Nicholas
BOUR was born in 1809 in Moselle, France and buried in Canton in
1891 which
matches the St John's Cemetery record. The 1850 census indicated
he was 71 not
41. I can see how they might interpret the 4 to be a 7 if the
stroke was made to high.
Think Nicholas might have divorced Mary Ann in Seneca or Stark Co
before 1860
and married the Catherine in Canton (listed as mother on the
cemetery list)
since he is buried in Canton and she in Tiffin.Nicholas in St
John's? I was having a
hard time believing that he was 71 and she 46 in the 1850 census
you provided.
You indicated in 1860 she was living with a Haller/Heller family
without Nicholas and
in 1870 she was 66 living alone in Tiffin.

Do you have readings for the census listings for Nicholas at the
bottom of this e-mail?

Thanks,

Ray
