I have found (when looking at Images @ Ancestry) that sometimes the page
numbers aren't really the page numbers . . .
Explanation: Sometimes they take the page number from an ink-stamp in the
upper right-hand [corner] of the right-hand page; so every other page/image
will have a page number stamped on it. Therefore, (usually) only the
even-numbered images will have a "page number". I hope this helps, in some
small way!

Nancy,

I looked both of those up in the Ancestry 1870 census and there wasn't a
Rose on either page. I even went to other pages both ways to see if they
had the wrong page numbers. Do you have any suggestions?
