The following is index only information. If you desire to have one of the
following listing looked up, you will need to place a request to the list:

In the 1870 index, I checked both Vinton and Jackson counties for VEST
entries.

They were as follows:

Vinton Co, Swan Twp
Simeon Vest age 50 born Oh page 166
Thomas D. Vest age 49 born Ohio page 165
Alfred Vest age 47 born Ohio page 166
Also in Swan Twp on page 163 was a William Nickels age 74 born PA.
Perhaps William was a maternal grandparent????

In Jackson Co, Lick Twp page 160
John W. Vest age 35 born WV

In Jackson Co, Jackson Twp page 175
Philip Vest age 69 born VA

Note...there were Nichols families in Jackson Co...but none in either of
the two above townships. I think I'd try the Vinton Co VEST families first
to see if Adeline was in one of those households.
