Hi Diane, The 1880 is the first census with parents place of birth listed.
The 1870 has a place to mark if the parents were foreign born but doesn't
list the place itself. If you don't have the 1880 reading yet, you can go
to www.farmilysearch.org I checked and he is listed in Brown Co and
parents b. KY. Rose
