Hi Linda,
I found an orphanage in Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH in 1930 called the
'St. Joseph's Catholic Orphans Home' but did not find any children with
surname 'Cox'.
I also examined the listings for the Montgomery County Childrens Home and
could not find Nannie or Theodore there either. However, I did find the
following:
=============================
Name: Douglas Cox
Age: 11
Estimated birth year: abt 1919
Birthplace: Ohio
Relation to head-of-house: Inmate
Race: White
Home in 1930: Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio
Image source:
Year: 1930;
Census Place: Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio;
Roll: 1855;
Page: 2A;
Enumeration District: 57;
Image: 958.0.

Cox Douglas inmate M W 11 S Ohio Unknown Tennessee
=============================
Could Theodore's middle name have been Douglas?
Could Nannie have been adopted and gone from the Children's Home by 1930?
Let me know if you'd like a copy of this image for Douglas.
