I didn't see a reply for your request in the list's archives. My 1830 index
isn't showing any results for Samuel MELSON anywhere in OH.

There are only 3 listed:

Keziah Melson, Meigs, Adams, OH
Hiram Melson, Perry, Pike, OH
Joseph Melson, Brush Creek, Scioto, OH

There's a Samuel MELSON in Dearborn Co. IN
and one in Worchester Co., MD if you want to send a request to those
census lists.
