Dorene,
I didn't see a reply for this request in the list's archives. My 1870 index
isn't showing any results for this family anywhere. I tried HUGHES / HUGHS
/ HUGH, etc. and the Soundex
index, with no luck.
Since they were moving around so much, maybe they were missed by the census
taker?
I'm sorry,
Marilyn

I am searching for the 1870 Census household containing:
17 year old James Hughes/Hughs born Ohio
13 or 15 year old Sarah J. Hughes/Hughs born Ohio
12 or 15 year old Milton Hughes/Hughs born Ohio
Father most likely Milton Hughes/Hughs born between 1808 and 1812 in Ohio,
may be listed with a wife Ennis or Eunice born between 1816 and 1818 in
Ohio.
He may be listed as widowed or divorced.
The family is listed in Vinton County, Ohio in 1860 and Jackson County,
Ohio
in 1880. He married in August 15, 1872 in Scioto County. Can anyone help me
find this family? I have looked at Heritage Quest 1870 index for all of Ohio
without any luck. I cannot search for the children when they share the same
last name as the head of household. Thank you for any help you can offer.
Dorene
