HI:
I'm looking for my great-great aunt, ELLEN COWEN and her two children,
KATIE and JOSEPH COWEN, in the censuses for 1900-1930.

The 1900 Census copy I looked at in Heritage Quest is illegible but I
think Katie is living with her mother then. Then the question is what
happened to Joseph. I don't know anything more about Katie, say, whether
she got married.

The 1900 Census page is Series T623, Roll 1281, Page 6; 31-WD,
Cincinnati.

Ellen is from Ireland. Her husband, my great-grandmother's uncle, was
JAMES COWEN of Brown Co., OH. The family is in the 1880 Census in
Cincinnati, with his sister BELLE HUGHES, a nurse, living with them. Oh
-- it would be good to find out whether Belle shows up after 1880 in the
Census. She was 32 in 1880 so she would be in her 50s in 1900.
